Prevention
Most cancer is preventable. We turn the best evidence into plain-English guidance people can actually act on — without fear or false promises.
About us
Killing Cancer Kindly is a cancer-prevention charity built on a simple, hopeful idea: most cancer is preventable, and everyone deserves calm, honest, jargon-free answers — never alarmism, never false hope.
Our mission
To cut the lifetime risk of cancer from around 50% today to under 5% by 2050 — through prevention, earlier detection and kinder treatment.
We are a movement of clinicians, researchers and volunteers working across the United Kingdom, Pakistan and the United States. We were founded by Dr Mohammad Muneeb Khan, an NHS consultant clinical oncologist who has spent his career treating cancer — and who believes far too little attention goes to preventing it in the first place.
Much cancer funding, rightly, goes to treatment research. Comparatively little goes to helping the public act on what we already know. That gap — plain, trustworthy prevention and understanding — is where we work.
Cancer information is too often frightening, contradictory or quietly selling something. We do it differently. Every guide we publish is written in plain English and medically reviewed, with the reviewer and date shown so you can see who stands behind the words. Where the evidence is uncertain, we say so — rather than overstating what is known.
Information about cancer should be calm, clear and free of fear.

Now, we have the opportunity to focus on cancer prevention, not just treatment, to protect our loved ones before diagnosis.”
